The following comments below are from the Plaid team.
We’re pleased that the Court granted the Plaintiffs’ Motion for Preliminary Approval of the settlement. While we disagree with the allegations in the Plaintiffs’ lawsuit, we continue to believe that settlement is the best path forward in light of the burdens and costs that come with protracted litigation.
As the next step in the settlement process, a third-party class administrator has started sending notice of the class action settlement to potential class members so that they can decide whether to submit a claim to participate in the settlement fund. We’ll continue to prioritize our work in helping consumers understand and control how and where their information is shared.
