Getting started is Easy

The transition from a legacy software system to a modern application can be a challenging undertaking for any farm business. This is why Traction offers Priority Onboarding.

By leveraging Priority Onboarding, a dedicated team will put you on the fast track in getting acquainted with Traction. The cost of this service is $250.

This service is offered to customers with a paid subscription at no additional cost. Contact your Traction Account Manager for more details.

Our team will help

Create all your entities for your operation
Create or replicate your Chart of Accounts for up to 3 entities
Create an example contact for customer, vendor, landlord, employee, etc.
Setup and connect specific bank/credit cards accounts for your entities
Connect your integrations:

John Deere Operations Center, Climate FieldView, etc.

Setup a selection of land agreements (if any)
Setup your opening inventory balances for inputs and harvested crops (if any)
Create your asset accounts for Farm Equipment, Buildings & Structures, etc.
Setup several pieces of farm equipment: tractor, planter, combine, overhead, etc.
Demonstrate how to create/edit key transaction types: Payments, Deposits, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I start?
Once you schedule the initial meeting, you will work with your Traction Account Manager in agreeing and signing the Statement of Work (SOW). This Agreement must be signed and approved before any work is started.


When is payment due?
Traction will invoice you in advance for the Priority Onboarding services. Once payment is made, work will begin immediately.


Who owns my Ag Data during onboarding?

All Ag Data (as defined in Traction’s Ag Data Use Agreement) provided to Traction is owned by you. The Priority Onboarding Agreement will allow Traction representatives to access your Ag Data to perform the onboarding service.


Can Priority Onboarding be terminated?

Yes, you can stop using the Priority Onboarding and terminate this Agreement at any time by notifying your Traction representative. You will remain liable for any Priority Onboarding rendered prior to termination. Likewise, Traction may terminate this Agreement at any time.  Termination of this Agreement will not terminate your Traction account. 


How long does the onboarding process usually take?
Priority Onboarding includes two meetings (approximately one hour each). Our goal is to ensure that you’re up and running as smoothly and quickly as possible while providing you with a thorough and personalized experience.


Can I still take advantage if my trial expired?
Yes, reach out to a Traction representative if your trial has expired. We can restart your trial and help enroll you into Priority Onboarding.


What do I do if I am an existing customer who needs help catching up?
Priority Onboarding is free for existing customers. Reach out to your Traction Account Manager to schedule your first meeting.
